I know it's very soon...
But I've been looking at Petfinder. I really love Maine Coons but I'd
rather find one that needs a home badly, or a "wanna be". I still need to have Shamrock and Bonnie FeLV tested again before I even consider adopting another cat. Then again, I've thought maybe I should just leave an opening because I've never ever set out to adopt a cat before, they always find me. That said, I found these two and the first one, PJ, has a face exactly like my old cat who is now RB, Marley. http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=2657444 PJ is a shy cat but heck, Bonnie was/is, too, so that isn't a hinderence. This one is Mister, with a sad story. http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=3142473 -- Cheryl |

In the fine newsgroup "rec.pets.cats.health+behav", "Cathy
Friedmann" artfully composed this message within on 18 Jul 2004: Hey, either one (any rescued cat is still one more rescued cat) - or both. eg Those are some ear tufts Mister has! Aren't they? lol I wish there was more of a pic, but he just looks sweet in that one. Poor lil guy. -- Cheryl |

But I've been looking at Petfinder.
It's not really too soon if you're ready. Everyone is different. Some people like to wait and others jump right back in. They're both unbelievably cute and it's always hard to pick but I like Cathy's reasoning that, either way, a cat who needs a home gets rescued. When they're in the hands of those no-kill shelters you know they'll be taken care of and cared about, at least, so you should go with the one who appeals to you the most. It's a good sign you're looking Candace (take the litter out before replying by e-mail) See my cats: http://photos.yahoo.com/maccandace "One does not meet oneself until one catches the reflection from an eye other than human."
