Waffles as a pretty young thing

Waffles was rescued by a wonderful woman, a complete stranger, who saw
her injured in the road, and took her to the vet. Turned out the vet
she brought Waffles to happened to be Helen's regular vet. Is that how
they found you, Helen? They recognized Waffles? Or was she microchipped?
I don't remember that detail.

Anyway, it was a tense few days waiting to see if Waffles was going to
pull through. But she did, becoming the One-Eyed Warrior in the process.


ID tag on collar. Vet rang me at once. Vernon & I zoomed off down to the
vet's office. To cut a long story short - a couple of operations, six weeks
cage rest and Waffles was back to herself. The lady who found Waffles was
wonderful. Vernon & I took her flowers and a card as a thank you gift and
she even came to see Waffles when she was on the mend.

Of course she's gorgeous. She is still a pretty young thing.
