My hand is actually recovering well! I went from being unable to hold a
fork with my right hand to now being at about 50% normal grip strength on
a
grip exerciser. The fever's annoying though.

I trust you are joking, are you? In this case you
need to get to the doctor immediately. A fever from this needs
antibiotics a.s.a.p.
Now you're scaring me.

I believe he said he was taking antibiotics.

I'm completely ok now, thank goodness. My temperature yesterday was
actually 0.1 degrees below average. My wrist isn't even red anymore
immediately around the wounds - there are just some puncture marks. I'm
still on antibiotics for another 6 days though.

When I reach down to pet Roxy, she looks up at me so that her head is
angled for maximum contact with my hand as it descends.

I'm going to say it now - been avoiding it - Suz had no arms. No wonder
Spicey is like she is, she was not able to be touched.
It's not surprising she's difficult now.

There's no problem saying that. Suz didn't have arms and legs, but she was
never embarrassed about this. She didn't talk about her condition much
because she wanted to avoid certain fetishists who she told me creepily
objectified people like her for their perceived physical vulnerability, and
whatever other reasons.

She had a charming, alternately assertive and sometimes slightly shy
attitude that seemed to me to reflect a personality that had to speak
loudly to be able to make things happen, but wanted the independence to
take care of herself without inconveniencing others.

In both physical problems and attitude, I see a little remnant of that in
this cat.
