Speechless

Orville was caught speechless yesterday - a unique event.

Usually, he is very vocal when he thinks it's feeding time. And he's so
loud, I'm surprised the neighbors haven't complained. He stands up with
his front paws on the door (so that he 'falls' into the living room when
I open the door) and meows that I am late, late, late!

Well, last night I was early, and he wasn't yet at the door. When he
arrived a few moments later, he made one brief attempt to meow that came
out like a muted squawk, but decided the food was here, so no need to
continue.

Of course, I may come to regret putting the food out early, as he may
use that as an excuse to expect food early from now on.

I'm sure he will. Waffles normally gets his gooshy food at 6:30, and he
starts pestering for it about 5:30. Occasionally, if I'm going out in the
evening, he gets it at 5:30. Then, for several days, he starts his
pestering about 4:30.

yes, you will regret that as his expection will be forward 10 minutes every
day. Marina told me never feed Boyfie one minute before his appointed time.
And yes, he does moan about "nearly time, can't I have it now?"
No.
He gets a pouch when I get up and another at 3.45 and some dry at bedtime.
My vet says that is more than enough for a neutered boy but he sez not. He
wants 4 pouches at least and half the box of dry. Dream on ;-)
We did all the health checks. Greedy boy ;-)
I am very pleased that he has such a good appetite. There's nothing worse
than trying to get a sick cat or dog to eat with anything or everything.
