Default Rhett killed the humidifier

At least I'm pretty sure it was him, because he chews on the plastic
and pushes it around. After he knocked it off of the table top a week
or two ago (silly me to think I could put it up there in the first
place) it seemed ok, and not broken. Yesterday, out of the blue, the
water tray under the filter/wick thingie overflowed when the water
container drained out rather than dribbled as needed. Now, there is
only one way that can happen and that's if there's a crack or hole in
the container (gravity or some other physics reason). I walked right
into a very wet spot on the carpet, started feeling around with my
socked foot and discovered that it wasn't merely wet, it was
completely saturated. Now I have a dehumidifier running on the wet
spot and the humidifier is in the sink (it's not leaking now, but I
don't trust it). I suppose they're cancelling each other out. LOL
