Mareeba is northwest of Cairns, in the Tablelands. It's a market town,
population about 7 thousand.

Okay, the size probably explains why I can't find it on the map of Australia
that hangs on my wall.

Are you an Aussie?

Joy

No. "Old American"

Okay. Do you visit Oz often, or did you make this trip just for the
eclipse?

The eclipse was the reason for the trip, but the trip wasn't "only" for the
eclipse. Did touristy things in Sydney and Cairns, but also visited Parkes
radio astronomy observatory and Siding Spring optical observatory, which are
off the usual tourist trail. Only trip to the Land of Oz for me.

Do you think you'll go back? Did you see the Great Barrier Reef? Kuranda?
The Daintree Rain Forest? Darling Harbour? Circular Quay? The Blue
Mountains?

Okay, so you went to Sydney and Cairns. Anywhere else? Of what you saw,
what did you like best?
