Spotsie had to be put to sleep owing to end-stage renal disease. She'd
had
chronic renal failure for a long time and finally stopped eating. Spotsie
was a dilute tortoiseshell tabby domestic shorthair female cat full of
spit
and vinegar. The house is a lot quieter tonight.

Bud

19 is a good age, and everyone will say that but it doesn't help.
I think the older they get the more precious they become.
I am sorry for your loss and I know about losing an elderly one.

I'm so sorry. It's so hard to let go of a long-time friend. But it does
sound like it was time for her to go, so you did her a great kindness.

Many thanks to all who followed up.

Soft purring of wind.
Cloud-colored cat in the clouds.
Tears falling in heart.

That's a beautiful Haiku in tribute to a beautiful cat. It brought tears to
my eyes.

One day only the happy memories will remain, but not just yet.

Poor Spotsie. She has such a fitting name, since she'll always have a spot
in your heart.
