Bird of prey, American Bald Eagle named Beauty, whose beak was partially shot off by a poacher, gets a new "bionic" beak. -- ^..^ This is Kitty. Thankfully she was rescued and now she can feed herself. Bald Eagles are (thankfully) plentiful at Reelfoot Lake, TN. They nest there. When John and I went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago I was happy to see they'd taken the eagle out of the big Jurassic Park-like pterydactl cage and gave her a nice enclosure with running water, trees and rope swings. I was looking, scanning the tree limbs, where the heck is the eagle?! She was sitting on the ground peering at me from between some shrubs. LOL Oh, hi! Jill |
