Default Waffles as a pretty young thing

I came across a photo of Waffles taken when she was about five months old.

Isn't she gorgeous. An entirely unbiased opinion.. naturally!

What a sweet baby! How did she lose her eye?

Several years ago she had an argument with a large metal box. Waffles won.

Waffles won.

I presume said metal box had four wheels, one on each corner, and
a fifth wheel inside, held by a nut? :-)

Possibly driven by a nut, too.

Waffles was rescued by a wonderful woman, a complete stranger, who saw
her injured in the road, and took her to the vet. Turned out the vet
she brought Waffles to happened to be Helen's regular vet. Is that how
they found you, Helen? They recognized Waffles? Or was she microchipped?
I don't remember that detail.

Anyway, it was a tense few days waiting to see if Waffles was going to
pull through. But she did, becoming the One-Eyed Warrior in the process.
