We had our town voting last month (voting the budget, selectmen, police
chief) and we had 50% of registered voters turn out. From about 2PM on,

line was out the door (an hour wait to check in). In case you think your
vote doesn't count, we elected a new police chief by 28 votes (out of
3000+)

We had a city council election last month--and it was a tie. To determine the
winner, they put both names in a hat and drew one out. How hick is that???

Sherry

There was a town somewhere a few years ago that had to go to a hand of
poker. That was the official tie breaker by law there.

That would HAVE to be somewhere in the American West!!!!

I am thinking West Texas or New Mexico but I honestly don't remember
