he likes to have at 10 pm. I wished I'd looked out for him at 10.30 but
didn't until 11.

Tweed, please stop beating yourself up. We all know you've done the
best for Boyfie for years. Yes, they have little routines. But
sometimes they vary them. How were you to know? You couldn't.

I'm just offering food for thought, not an argument, but KFC was killed

Not quite true. She had been an outside cat, she hadn't stirred from
inside for years (even when the door was open). When I was admitted to
hsopital I had to ask someone to feed my cats & chickens and leave the door
open for Boyfie to get out.

She rose from her place beside the fire and went outside looking for me.
She was very old, was quite confused and got snatched up.
Had I not been ill, it would never have happened. Please don't make me feel
worse than I already do about her.

Kitty Farmcat had lived outside most of her life, because she didn't like
the home she had - I found that out.
I refuse to be made responsible for her death - unless you think I should
have had her euthanised when I went into hospital?
Looking back, perhaps I should have done, although I had no reason to expect
she'd go out.
Poor June nearly went crazy looking for her and daren't tell me she was
missing for a few days because I was very unwell in hospital.

Cheryl, I think you have to understand the difference in culture. Cats are
kept in the USA and mainly here they are not.
I was talking to Nüle in Germany about it today. They also let their cats
out and she says "if it was unsafe to have a cat outside where I lived, I
wouldn't have one"

nor me. It was just dreadful one off thing and I won't be keeping
Boyfriend in case it happens again.
He purely hates being indoors 24/7 but unfortunately he has to tolerate it
for the moment.
The first time he goes out next week, I'll be very nervous.

Default Payment Methods for Boyfriend

Hello Cathy,
I am Sylvia Molesko, a newsgroup friend of Boyfriend.
I received the reply below to my inquiry about contributing to
Boyfriend's account..

I tried to dial you at 01509 814505 as Boyfriend's Mom told us on
email...
My telephone operator said that was not quite the correct number :-(
however, the correct number from the US seems to be 01144 509 814505
from the United States. But when I dialed this "corrected by AT&T
number, I got a message that it could not be completed as dialed.
Please advise with how I can reach you, from the United States of
America to make this donation. My credit card company is expecting this
charge to appear on my credit card.

Might it be that you will accept the information by email after all?
I will look for a reply in about 4 hours from now, after 9 pm California
(pacific standard time)
Then I will phone you if I have a number that works, or email you, if
you permit this.

Many Thanks,

Sylvia Molesko

To dial the number from the US it is 011 44 1509814505. The leading 0
is used when calling from within the UK.

Yes! the number you supplied worked perfectly from the United States!
That and getting up at 5:30 a.m.
Thank you!

Try whatever code for the UK you have (I know there's 44 in it, but thought
it was 0044)
anyway what code you have add 01509812446 (reception desk) and they will
sort you out.
When I phoned up for his "stitches out" appt, they didn't recognise my
surname particularly, but when they asked me for my cat's name they
certainly did!

It is very difficult to co-ordinate, folks. You are up when we are not.
Don't worry if you can't.

In finally got through using this telephone number (calling from the United
States): 011 44 1509814505

The other numbers that were provided would not work from this location, and
wire transfer would have been extremely expensive.

The woman I spoke to was friendly and said they have received a number of
similar calls. She seemed delighted at the process.
