Default People in Queensland, please stay safe

Most of you know that Queensland (Australia) has suffered devastating floods
this year. I just left Queensland a few days ago, but not the area that was
flooded. Now, a cyclone is headed there. I hope the people in that area
escape major damage, but the cyclone is currently projected to be
destructive. If any of our members are in the path of the cyclone, please
stay safe.

Incidentally, I made several flights on Qantas and Air Pacific. Each time,
a bag was passed so that any of us who had collected loose change (which I
seemed to do with great regularity) could easily donate to flood relief by
dropping coins in the bag. I thought that was an excellent idea, and I
imagine they collect a considerable amount of money that way because
tourists usually have leftover coins that they will not be able to use and
this gave us a good way to contribute to as worthy cause.

It's amazing how loose change mounts up- I imagine they got loads of
money. I save our spare change then bank it when the jar is full-
last year it totalled almost £500 over the year, which pays for our
gas and electric bills with some to spare
