Default Purrs for those having a hard time this holiday season ...

I know this season is rough on a lot of us; even on me, and I don't even have
any good reasons for that to be the case.

Anyway, if any of you watched Buffy at all, there's an episode where a demon
comes into town and everyone starts singing their real feelings ... and of
course things get all freaked out. As usual, the plot and words could easily
apply to normal life situations, not just to their supernatural crazy world.

The song "something to sing about" seems to bring it all home for me ...
frustration, anger, sadness, and even some (small amount) of hope. It
works better if you actually listen to it, but ...

I actually have a Tape of that Ep. Someone was selling Emmy tapes of it on
eBay. I suspect it wasn't quite legal, but couldn't resist.

I have it on my iPod, which I typically set to random, so it was playing when
I was reading the ng. It's an odd song, but there's something I like about
it. I like music that's about people going through tough times, but they have
this sense of defiant hope, despite the fact that things really do suck. I
guess that's why I like The Eels so much, too.
