Wierd Suggestion of the week
I was browsing through the August issue of Everyday magazine (Rachael
Ray) and one of the thing suggested was to put cat fur in your bird feeder to keep squirrels away. Huh? Never heard or imagined that one before. Jo |

Never heard or imagined that one before. Considering how our squirrels "scream" at our cats and us, I doubt a little bit of cat fur will deter them. -- Victor M. Martinez Owned and operated by the Fantastic Seven (TM) Send your spam he Email me he |

Well, when I brush the cats, in the spring, I put the fur out on the bushes
and the birds grab it for next building. I never saw it help to keep squirrels away. But then, maybe mid west squirrels are just stupid! "Jofirey" wrote in message ... Recent research indicates they do, but it seems to be oriented toward food identification ... after all, birds don't have much need to smell predators - they are mostly very visual oriented. -- T.E.D. ) MST (Missouri University of Science and Technology) used to be UMR (University of Missouri - Rolla). |
