Duffy needs dental work
Nikki and Selina are doing well, but Duffy has not been eating right and has
lost weight. Based on estimates when I first adopted him, he is probably 15-16 years old now. I took him to the vet today, and the good news is that all of his tests (blood work and urinalysis) except one are good. The one abnormal result is that his protein level is too low. That is one of the kidney functions, but all of the other kidney tests are normal. I learned that he does need dental work, so I am giving him antibiotics twice a day and will have the dental work done on Thursday. It's possible that his teeth are bothering him, and that may explain why he has not been eating enough. MaryL |
