That's a very good idea- we don't have Fancy Feast here in the UK
through but it sounds to me that the cans must be the same as the "Hi
life" small ones, which my cats devour as if they haven't seen food
in years! (as opposed to their usual "not seen food for months"
routine at meal times) and I've always hated the fact they stink the
bin out, which is becoming a big consideration as in some parts of the
UK bins can only be put out on collection days and that is spreading
so if I feed "Hi Life" (I think that's what its called) then we have
the smell and as we have a small flat it then ends up stinking of cat
food unless I take the bin liner out (for the moment we don't have
times to put them out here) which kinda puts me off feeding them the
stuff (most of their wet food is pouches, which for some reason don't
seem to have the same effect) even through they love it and it's good
quality stuff

So maybe now I'll get it for them more often and use a Ziploc bag!

I use Wellness canned food, so there is no problem finding lids that fit.
However, I don't have any problem with odor from canned food because I
rinse
the cans before I dispose of them. That uses very little water and solves
any problem with odor or attracting insects.

MaryL

FYI I wash all cans before putting them in the garbage can. MLB

You might try contacting the company. I never needed them for Fancy
Feast (one reason I bought it when I had only one cat was that I could
feed the whole can, and didn't have to worry about keeping left-overs).
However, most of the standard-size covers I had were promotional items
from the various cat-food manufacturers (usually came with the cans of
food).

Don't you have to put your cans in the recycle bin? We do, and the
glass, cartons and plastics.

Bobble

We aren't required to do it, but we do have recycle. I recycle a lot of my
items but can't claim that I do it with everything that is eligible.

That's what I feed my cats, too. I buy the large, 13.5 oz cans (not sure
how this would be represented in metric - approx. .4 kg or 400 g), which
feeds my crew at least 2 meals. But I don't bother with pet food lids any
more - instead, I bought a couple of small glass containers with lids,
and I store the leftover in that.

However, I don't have any problem with odor from canned food because I rinse
the cans before I dispose of them. That uses very little water and solves

Yeah, same here. My tin cans can sit in the recycle bin for up to a week
before I empty it, and I sure don't want them stinking up the house in the
meantime!

I have 2 and I got them from Petsmart but it was a few years ago. I
bet you could get them online easily.

I don't use the lids for FF, but the multi size lids fit the small Wellness
cans just fine. I had two that I got from the same source and one fit
perfectly immediately. The other one had to be "trained" to fit. Try
heating it up a bit in boiling water and then when hot put it on a can and
let it sit till cooled. You'll need to use gloves.

I buy the small lids at Petco. They work fine.
