Ahh, Spring!
It's over 60 degrees F. I can see crocuses and daffodils from the window. Two black and white cats are sitting in the sunshine, the gentle breezes making their little whiskers quiver. Sunday we begin Daylight Savings Time. We;ve made it through another winter, folks (in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway). Ahh, Spring!
Yes, I finally was able to go out without my winter boots, hat, and gloves.
The ground was clear though dusty. The snowbank has shrinked considerably. I can even turn off the heater and open a window. Winnie "Kreisleriana" wrote in message ... It's over 60 degrees F. I have one crocus to bloom; but a lot of bulbs are up and some have buds. But I hear we are having another snow storm in a week. Let my blossoms hold off till after that. -- CATherine |

I've been invited to go skiing this weekend, but I think I'd rather spruce up my bike and check out the trails. It's been a long time since I've ridden my bike. -- monique, who loves living in a place where she could choose to go skiing, or alternately go hiking or biking in shorts and a tee |

Sunday we begin Daylight Savings Time. We;ve made it through another winter, folks (in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway). Well, it hasn't reached this part of the Northern Hemisphere yet. It's a little above freezing and the snow is still on the ground. At least it's been rainingt for a few days, so that has melted some of the snow. But I wouldn't be surprised if we got some more snow before April is over. I am so sick and tired of the white stuff! -- Marina, Miranda and Caliban. At least old man winter is taking baby steps away. I am not going to put away my winter boots yet. As you said, we had snow one year in April. We will have rain most of next week, which should wash away all the crude left behind with the spring thaw. Can't wait for the current crop of maple syrup. The farmers should have them ready for the market soon. Winnie -- Marina, Miranda and Caliban. It was 80 degrees today and not too windy. I got to go to the Medieval Fair today, and it was such a perfect day for it that it was almost magical. Our crocuses are finished now; the lilacs are in full bloom as are the pear trees, cherry trees and tulips. I'm going to move the seedlings out of the greenhouse tomorrow and let them start hardening off. This is my favorite time of year. Sherry |
