Default It's NOT TIME YET!

I am awake at this undogly (yes, I misspelled that on purpose) hour but that
doesn't mean I'm going to fill up the food bowl, Persia! She's tapping at
me, murrrping at me, purring extra loudly, trying to direct my attention
towards the pantry where her food awaits. It's not time yet!!!

She's fluffy enough as it is is. (And a lovely, fluffy, soft, snuggly,
loving kitty, I might add.) But if I feed her at 5:30AM she's going to be
starving (heh) again by 2PM and then she'll start working on me again to
feed her. She's only supposed to eat 1/4 cup of kibbles twice a day. She
weighs 16 lbs! fer cryin' out loud! It's not like she can't live off some
of her fluffiness for another hour. It's not time yet!

LOL. Ever since we started feeding our kids wet food a few months ago, they
start bugging us around 5:00 pm (used to be 6, but the time changed). We
split 1 can between the three, they never finish it, so I don't know why
they beg. Funny little bitties!

Snoopy is just the same if I wake up early, I don't know how she hears my
eyes opening. ;-)

Persia has these routines for waking me up. Maybe it's the time change...
not sure but they are happening earlier now. I have multiple pillows on the
bed to prop up my shoulder to help me sleep better. She has recently taken
to climbing on the pillows over my head. She snoozes, but when she wakes up
she reaches out and rests a paw on top of my head. Just so I know she's
there, you know? I usually just chuckle and turn over and if I can I go
back to sleep.

But shortly thereafter she starts tapping me on the head. (She used to tap
me on the nose from beside me, now she's tapping me on my head!) And she'll
lean down and start combing my hair with her teeth. Anything to wake me up.

It's not bad enough I don't sleep well; when I'm finally sleeping soundly
she's waking me up because she's starving, poor baby!

It's no wonder I'll have to take a nap 2 hours from now... I barely got to
sleep before Persia started tapping me on the head and dragging my bangs
through her teeth! LOL

All joking aside, Persia may not be adjusted to the time change...we "fell
back," which added an hour of time (but possibly not in "Persia time").

She's always been like this, though In the spring when we fall forward
she'll be just as likely to try to wake me up an hour early as she is now.
She's like the fat lady on a diet... can't I have one cookie, just one
cookie now?! Nope, it's not time yet!

Muriel used to wake me up for (her) breakfast by pouncing on my toes or
fingers under the downie. So I shut the bedroom door. Unfortunately
it was a glass door and ideal for the sound effects of two little clawy
paws going BANG SLAM THUMPA THUMPA WALLOP SCRE-E-ECH!!!

I think she's the reincarnation of a cop shot in a dawn raid.

All the more reason not to feed them until the designated time! She's a
"fluffy" cat... a half an hour won't hurt her!

Tippy likes to get us up early and it seemed like he hadn't turned his internal
clock back yet. He usually likes to wake us up at about 3AM on weekdays, but
the past week it has been 2AM. This morning when he woke me up it dawned on me
I forgot to set the coffee maker back and it was coming on at 2 instead of 3.
