Default *Sigh* Just to remind me......

I have been well and truly reminded this evening that my sole purpose
on thsi planet is to work to earn money to take care of the owners.

Tomorrow, I get my first proper "Real" pay packet in 6 years. Sure,
I've worked in part time jobs whilst in school and studying, but this
is my first real job in that I get a pension and benefits since I left
my Government job in April 2002.

So... there I am this evening, looking forward to the fact that I've
earned a decent pay packet, and I'll be (semi)solvent for the first
time in a very long while and debating whether or not to buy
Battlestar Galactica Season 3 on DVD as a celebration.

And then HRFL Tiger walks into the room. I notice that he has a *huge*
clump of fur ripped out of his chest. About 5cm in diameter. I look
closer and see two puncture marks and blood. A lump is starting to
form. It seems he's been fighting with his nemesis, the grey cat
without a tail from 3 doors up. So off to TED he will go tomorrow,
probably to have an abscess lanced, and certainly it will make my bank
balance poorer.... There goes my "treat" of the DVD's I've been
looking forward to since September. (

Oh well, a good friend of mine said that it's the Universe giving you
what you need, rather than what you want. In that I have a job, so
therefore money, and that I can now pay vets bills more easily. I
totally get her point, but boy do Pollyanas annoy me sometimes!!

Purrs for HRFL Tiger to not have a serious wound would be most
appreciated.

Thanks
Helen M

Purrs for HRFL Tiger and purrs for your bank balance.

At least you don't have to wait as long as the Americans for Battlestar
Galactica Season 3 on DVD it's not released there until the end of March,
but as it's only £21 to import it I'm prepared to wait.
