As lifelong fan of Dr Who, I've been very much enjoying the new Dr Who
series of hour long episodes. I thought Christopher Eccleston was a great
choice for the first season, added some anger and pathos to the Dr and
brought him into modern times, but I must admit I liek David Tennant's
Doctor more. He is definately shagalicious.

I was sceptical about Torchwood. Spin-offs are rarely as good as their
parent show, and this was messing with an icon, the very foundation show of
TV Sci-Fi.

However, I was not disspointed, its awesome! And Captain Jack Harkness.
*Fwoar*. I'd trample over David Tennant to get to him :-)

I've been getting into Torchwood and have been fortunate enough to
watch the first 8 episodes. I must admit Capatin Jack Harkness, has
alot to do with me me watching yet another episode, but unfortunately
for women he is gay. The torchwood plots are pretty cheesy, but so
were quite a number of the Dr Who plots, which never stopped me from
tuning in.

Of all the doctors I like Christopher Eccleston the most. But that's
largely because I think Eccleston is a good actor and I already liked
a number of his movies. Tennant would be the next best doctor IMHO.

He's also a really nice & approachable guy. He got married to his long
term partner in a great ceremony in Cardiff and I often see him
walking his dogs in the park where I take Bonnie.

And the best bit?....... You'll just have to wait and see 1/2 way
through the new Season 3 of Dr Who.... *VBG*

Yep, the new episodes have been amazing. C.E. was great and D.T. even
better (not to mention billie). There are a number of episodes that are
already classics for me.

You've met him and said hello! I'd be too shy to have a chat. Is he
American or British?

Good to hear that they're showing or have shown the 3rd season of Dr
Who. I'm not sure when it will start here, but it'll probably another
6 months I expect.

I didn't know who he was when Bonnie ran up and nicked his dogs stick!
He was lovely. He has a Scottish accent at home and speaks in a
Scottish accent to his parents, and an American on when he's is the
USA, apparently. I really have no idea what he sounds like. I was too
busy drooling and jibbering when I worked out who it was to pay much
attention! Now he always says hello to Bonnie when he sees her, which
to be fair isn't often. He has dual UK & USA nationality.

David Tennant was the one who freaked me out the most - he has *THE*
strongest Scottish accent in real life!

Tom Baker was my favorite, but I like Christopher Eccleston to. Did you
guys know he is playing in the new American TV show "Heroes"? He plays the
"hero" who can become invisible whenever he wants and Christopher is chewing
up the scenery in this - it's fabulous! ;

What's weird here in the US is the guy who plays "House", Hugh Lowery, has a
British accent in real life but absolutely *nails* the American accent on
the show!

Oh I know, he's a very good actor and very witty. I was watching a
short documentary/ educational video on the importance of correctly
identifying patients, samples, medications (etc) in the hospital so as
to avoid errors. It was a British production made many years ago, long
before House came about. Although it was intended to be serious they
made the video into a comedy.

Hugh Laurie played about 5 different characters ranging from the
doctor, the nurse, the guy in pathology etc. His portrayal of the
doctor was exactly like his character on house: over-the-top
arrogance. So it must be a character he developed years before House.
Much like Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean.
