Default Summer Doldrums

My favorite time of the year. It all starts going downhill in a few
days, when the Summer Solistice passes and the days start getting
shorter. I like it when we have a gazillion hours of daylight.

So do the cats I think. We're a summer bunch. Hot weather is what I
like, and I don't even mind being drippy from humidity. I know the
cats like heat because they just lie there looking like fur matts.

Nipsy looks particularly funny, since like a lot of big cats, he lies
on his back with his paws spread in all directions. But the others do
a good imitation.

And there are sometimes cool breezes coming in from the window at
night, so they love lying on the cat perch by the window, studying the
neighbor cats, racccoons, and possums passing by.

After that last winter, we deserve a nice summer. Happy summer
everyone. Unless you're from Australia or somewhere else down under.
In that case, survive the winter and summer will come.

Sunrise here today: 4.26 AM.

Sunrise in cat time is breakfast time. Or just to be sure, as soon
as it starts getting light.

You will see the implications.
