Cat helpfully fetches a bag of cannabis and its human turns round
and grasses on it:

It occurred to me that if a cat was listed on a rescue centre with the
description "frequently brings home baggies of drugs" it might not have
long to wait before being adopted...

I've got this picture in my mind of the person who'd bought
the cannabis searching for it and thinking they'd gone mad.


Even as we speak, drug squads the world over are training armies of
black cats to go out at night on search-and-confiscate missions.

The really skilled ones can snatch a lighted spliff out of a smoker's
mouth and dash back to the copshop trailing sparks.
