My god he's so much like Wilson except Wilson is
ginger all over and his stripes are very dark ginger,
you say Geoffrey is tabby except for this bit on his
head? [my computer is not quite finished yet and
does not have full colour yet] sorry I'm going to
have to get off I can feel my sugars getting very
low [ diabetes type 2 ] and do something about it

This afternoon has been fraught with hoolikitten moments.

You see, I went to visit a friend, and help solve a small problem that
she has. She's got a nice study, but whenever she wants to use the
Internet, she has to take her laptop into the sitting room, because
there's no phone socket in the study. My task for the afternoon was to
string an extension socket upstairs. Easy? Would have been, except for
my little helper.

Geoffrey is not very old, tabby (except for a weird dime-sized patch
of purest ginger on the top of his head!), and very *very* lively.
Wriggling cables, power tools and humans crouching on the floor are
the stuff of life to him.

For nearly two hours he chased and pounced, and issued forth pathetic
squeaks when lifted away from the danger areas (yes, this kitten was
trying to kill a running power drill!).

It's so nice when they feel safe enough to challenge all manner of
things, even though we have to be extra watchful to make sure they
don't get hurt. Sammy is the only one of my three who was born here,
and not many indoor noises bother her, with the exception of the
vaccuum. Oh, and thunderstorms, but that's outside noise coming
inside. Outside she's much more skittish, since she's not allowed out
except under supervision. I've actually caught her reaching through
the chain link fence to swat at the neighbor's dog a couple times, so
she doesn't know shat she should be afraid of outside. When she was
younger I caught her actually trying to reach down the garbage
disposal.

But I had my revenge. As I enjoyed a post-task coffee, I found
Geoffrey sacked out after all his exercise on a chair. So, I got my
digital camera out, poked him rudely, and fired the flash into his
face! Herewith, please enjoy a picture of a grouchy hoolikitten,
freshly awoken from his beauty sleep

He's sure a striking fellow with those unusual markings.

I'm sorry...but calico??? Geoffrey does not look anything like a calico

me. Calico is white with orange and black patches. Geoffrey looks

very
tabby in my eyes.

Geoffrey is definitely a tabby, even if he can't quite decide whether

to
have spots or stripes. The lighting in the photo is a bit strange, and

I
can see how he could look a little calico (which doesn't necessarily
need white - just orange and black will do)!

I think his colouring resembles my sister's cat's. Ronja has sort of stripes
here and there, and splotches of colour here and there, like a big ginger
splotch on either side. We thought her markings would become clearer with
age, but they haven't. Here she is:

Adorable kitten, looks tabby to me. My Spicey looks like a reverse calico.
Check out catslave yahoo groups photos under her name.
