I don't know how this happens, but my keyboard at work is covered with
Buster's fur, even though he's never been to the office!

I found that it depends a lot on the cat. If you have Betty on your
lap, you'll get lots of work done, because she will just sleep curled
there, and not let you move to take breaks.

But if you have Buster on your lap, you'll never get anything done,
because he'll want to insert his 2 cents into whatever you're typing.

and you have to hold him and receive his headbutts in your face and you

If you have Roxy, she's not on your lap either. She's walking back and
forth between the keyboard and the monitor, and she always *stops* right
in front of the monitor. You have to nudge her on her way so you can see
the screen. Then she wants to rub her face on the edge of your cup of tea.
Finally she settles down in your arms, and will just lie there and purr
for long periods. But if you shift positions, she'll get up and start
the whole process over again!

I took my keyboard apart and pulled a few years worth of cat hair out of it.
Two days later it quit working, I guess the cat hair was what held it
together.

I like my new keyboard...
