The vet says it looks like his heart just gave out. Given that
his brother went that way years ago, all I can do is hope it was
quick.

Now I just have a big empty spot on the couch next to me.

Rest easy, big man. No one will ever fill your pawprints. I'll
miss you.

Ohhh I'm so sorry to hear that

I'm so sorry Chris. He was a well-loved boy, and I'm sure he died
know how much you cared.

He knew he was loved, and knows he,s missed. The Boss will take care of him
until the day you can never be separated again.

Sincere condolences, and purrs for Tripper's gentle crossing into the Happy
Plains

Blessed be,
Baha

Aww, Chris... I'm so sorry. Chances are he did not suffer, but I know you
are feeling some pain right now. I wish I could lift that burden from you.

Isn;t that the worse bit? When Isis crossed the Bridge we ended up
keeping her box on the sofa for ages- basically she had found this box
and made it hers, good snug box and she'd sited it where she could
demand skritchies and watch her favourite wildlige programmes in
comfort (Isis was a feline architect, she built a deluxe penthouse out
of an old box left on top of the fridge!) and we kept her box there
until the night before we collected the Fabulous Furballs. Throwing it
out was hard she' spent most of her evenings sitting in it so even
after she'd gone off to the Bridge, I swear you could see her out of
the corner of your eye sitting in it (I had the same phenomenon when
Dave was first in hospital- I could see him sitting in his favourite
chair out of the corner of my eye but when I turned to look the image
vanished- I also could "see" him lying under the duvet)

Hugs and purrs for you and Tripper

I'm sorry too, Chris. I hope it was a quick, painless as possible end
for Tripper. I'm glad to know you still have feline companionship so
that Tripper's passing has not left you completely bereft. We all
know what it's like to miss a beloved cat.
