Sam likes me!!!

Sam, who is about 9, (http://users.ameritech.net/lestark/our-pets.htm)
has always kind of kept to himself when tired and slept off in the
bedroom out of the way has been sleeping in the office chair that they
took over in my office (I now use folding chair when on computer) when
I am in there and coming to me for head scratches when I am setting
watching television.

After 8 / 9 years he decided he likes me enough to want to spend his
time in the same room with me!!! I feel honored!!!

They can take ages to come around- Dunzi decided to become a lap cat
last year at the age of 7 and now that she has found laps to be good
places as soon as I get home from work and she's been fed she'll be on
my lap for the evening

Our Chloe was desperately timid for the first 8 years we had her.
It seems Ishtar was bullying her somehow - very soon after Ishtar
died, she lost almost all her fear. She's not very interested in
laps, but I can't lie down without a fluffy purring chest wig.

The thing is that Sam was the "bully". He THOUGHT he was the alpha
male even though the others would put him in his place when they had
enough of his bullying!!!
