Mistletoe's v*t visit
So came the day and the appointed hour when Mistletoe had to see her v*t
for her annual "how ya doin?" visit. She wasn't impressed with going in "da box" and then in "da noisy vibratin' thing". Got to the v*t (who we think is great) and actually hissed when he took her out of "da box". He poked and prodded and listened to her heart. She was an angel while he was doing that but then he wanted a blood sample. She was *NOT* impressed, but didn't fight the blood draw. Blood work checked out OK. V*t asked if she's drinking enough. Erm, yeah, she drinks fine (didn't tell him about "special water) so v*t said everything's fine except that she's "too fluffy" (18 lbs) and needs to lose weight. She *really* won't be impressed with that. V*t suggested moist food as it's higher in protein so she won't need as much. She's back home now and hiding, but comes out occasionally to look for food (Not yet, sweetie). Sam, missing the hiding Mistletoe |

Mistletoe's v*t visit
"Sam" ... So came the day and the appointed hour when Mistletoe had to see her v*t Where do you tske Missy? We go to The Animal Clinic of Kent Love it visit. She wasn't impressed with going in "da box" and then in "da noisy vibratin' thing". Neither was Mosey when we took him in for a re-check and found out about the tapeworm ;/ He meowled all the way there. d and listened to her heart. She was an angel while he was doing that but then he wanted a blood sample. She was *NOT* impressed, but didn't fight the blood draw. Blood work checked out OK. That's good to hear V*t asked if she's drinking enough. Mosey weighd in at just over 11 lbs. He'd gained 3/4 of a lb effen wit dat badd wurm. He got a shot to kill the thing, and the vet gave him some really nasty hairball sruff that he hated so bad, he peed IN my bed... So no more of that for him. He's doing fine now. Brat! The v*t said to give him more poultry and keep him off dry food, which I keep out for the other 3, and Moe does eat it sometimes. erm, 'special water'?? have I missed something here? She's back home now and hiding, but comes out occasionally to look for food (Not yet, sweetie) Good to hear Mosey's going up and down the hall, mumbling how it time to feed him NOW Guess it's time...*looks at clock* yup, it's time. 9 pm BTW, Judge Judy is on at 10 pm on Ch 7. Sam, missing the hiding Mistletoe Kyla --off to feed grmbling Mosey |

I tried mixing his medicine with food, but he sniffed all sides of the dish, then went and nudged Lindy away from her dish. She was going to eat his, but I picked it up and gave her some unmedicated food. After he finished eating, I gave him the medicine. It was a real struggle, and I had to be pretty rough. Then I went in the living room and sat down in my recliner. Within two minutes, he was in my lap, and he stayed there until I had to make him get down so I could get up. Joy |

A cat's superior time sense

I can, by looking at my watch, tell that it is 10 o'clock, time to feed the kitties their supper. But Heidi, without even the benefit of a watch, knows exactly when it's 10 o'clock -- and knows it a full three quarters of an hour before I've got any clue. -- Wayne M. |

My two are the same even at weekends when we're trying to have a lie- in come 7.30am Sarsi baps me on the face to wake me up and remind me that its time to feed her. Luckily with this being a small flat I can get up, go to the kitchen, throw some Hills in the bowl and be back under the covers in 2 minutes flat (through of course in winter the next thing I get is Dave moaning that my feet are cold!) Summer and winter time throws them through, when the clocks go forward they think they are getting fed early and when they go back they start demanding to be fed an hour before feeding time. Ususally takes them a week or so to readjust their sense of timing Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

Princess (RB16) was very good at telling time. The problem is, cats don't embrace the time change to daylight saving time. MLB |
