Default Odd Food Choices

Just wondering... It's probably been brought up before, but having
watched the little ones with their choices of food, well I thought I'd
bring it up potentially again.

What "odd" things do your cats/kittens enjoy?

Marley - may be called Barley these days. He likes my beer (Stella
Artois), I've never had a cat who liked beer.

Bear - dill pickles. I'm thinking it's the garlic.

Seal - chocolate. Not that I give it to her, but she has been known to
run off with one of the Hershey Miniatures. I catch her before she
eats it (so far), but she do like chocolate.

Smeagol - Kraft Cheese slices. No other kind of cheese, just Kraft
Cheese slices. Sweet Gherkins (little sweet pickles).

All of the kittens like fried pork rinds, in fact when you open the
container, they will come running to get their own piece out. They are
very well behaved about it, so long as we let them have some.

Li'l Bit - peas, which makes her the only other animal in the house who
eats peas (aside from me).

Smokie - broccoli, but only if it's got butter on it.

Barnabus - potato chips

Leonidas - coffee (with powdered cream, not "real" cream)

Tuppence - Werther's Caramel candies (she also likes pear baby food)

What do y'all's kits/cats like that is odd?

Smokie Darling (Annie)

Then there is the reverse... None of the cats/kits will eat fish or
chicken (cooked or raw), but they all like beef.

Smokey: Sandwiches is cat food. Pizza is cat food. Ham isn't cat
food but I like it anyway. And I love cat grass.

Nocturne: Food Is Crunchy. (has eaten chips and snubbed meat for
being insufficiently crunchy)

Tyche: I LOVE COFFEE AND BEER!!

Kumani: I love to eat my own fur. *barfs*

Both Frank and Miranda like tinned maize (sweet corn). I discovered that
Frank likes it when he was a young lad. I was opening a tin, and he came
running, thinking it was a tin of catfood. I said, 'You don't like this'
(famous last words with cats) and gave him one kernel. He ate it. I gave
him another. He ate it. He would have eaten as many as I would have
given him. The same was later repeated with a tin of peas, a tin of
green beans, and with uncooked spaghetti. When he was young, he also
used to eat lettuce.

Then there were the garlic cloves that had spent a little too much time
in my fridge and had started to sprout. I planted them in a pot and used
the sprouts for salads and sandwich topping. But then Frank discovered
the sprouts and started eating them. Preferably early in the morning,
and then he would come and breathe on me while I was still sleeping.
Have you ever smelled garlic breath on a cat? Eeeeewwwww! And his
poopies stank of garlic as well. So I threw out the sprouts.

I read in this group, (actually the predecssor rpc ) that garlic is good for
repelling fleas from cats. Fleas don't like the smell of garlic on the cat's
fur.

Redunzel- Anything a cat isn't supposed to eat or a hoomin for that
matter eg small change, a metal pan scourer (she bit a chunk off of
one!), cigarette ends, cellophane oh and ham of course

Sarrasine- Ham, Tiramisu (she licks the container clean), corned beef,
sweetcorn

Isis (RB)- Fried fish

Fugazi (RB)- Fried fish batter, doner kebabs with chilli sauce

But the winner

Speedy Joe (RB)- apple cores (they had to go brown first), crisps,
brown bread (not white health conscious kitty!), chips from the Chinese
takeaway, chicken curry and rice (also only from the takeaway), frozen
giblets, cheese, porkpie, spaghetti bolognaise

Hi,
I'm one of your lurkers....mostly because I have no way of showing
photos as I'm on Webtv. Our house is run by Thomas, an 18lb gray lovebug
with some tiger markings. He loves geranium flowers, also marigolds....
needless to say I have given up on floral bouquets of any kind. He also
likes Cheeriots (with milk)
I truly enjoy this Forum!
