When John was here he did a quick graphite sketch of Persia as she lounged
by the kitchen table:

And yesterday in the mail I got a painting he did (eeek!) 40 years ago:

This is the last in a series of four paintings he did at the time. I now

She did look rather serious. Probably hoping there was food on the table
and some of it would fall off

I guess it must have been a *quick* drawing! Cats aren't known to be
good artist's models. It's a lovely sketch.

He did it in about 5 minutes. You're right... she didn't stay that way for
long. She was just waiting to see if something fell off the kitchen table.
Since we weren't eating she wandered off after a bit.
