Koala really scared me this afternoon. About 3:00, I realized it had
been a couple of hours since I’d seen him. I looked in all the places
where he’s recently been spending time and didn’t see him. I told
myself that didn’t matter, because he could easily be under a bed. About
5:00, when there was still no sign of him, I did a thorough search,
including getting down in the floor to look under the beds, checking
closets, looking out both front and back doors and checking the garage.
I couldn’t find him anywhere. I was really getting worried, but I
told myself I wouldn’t panic until 6:30, when he was due for his canned
food.

As I headed for the kitchen at 6:30, he casually appeared from nowhere.
I have no idea where he was hiding, but I hope he doesn’t do that
again. I think he was getting even with me for scaring him earlier.
This morning when I brought in my newspaper, I saw him looking out the
bedroom window, so I walked toward the window. When I was just a few
feet from the window, he looked scared and jumped down.

Definitely a BCT.

How do they disappear like that? I can see Sootie go into a room, I
follow, close the door and then I cannot find her. When I give up and go
to open the door, there she is right behind me.

Yup. They're magic. Or they beam up to the mother ship and beam down
somewhere else.
