I have a webshot picture account each week they email me with the number of
people who have viewed my pictures, the 2 albums I set up on the same day,
look how many people have looked at the Ragdolls compared to Bebe my Tabby
Moggie.
It proves people must like looking at purebred cats... I only use the link
in my newsgroups a/c.
Ragdolls 1,838
Bebe 698

People except, dogs of certain breeds and do not try and make people feel
bad because they own a eg Boxer dog, but if they own a purebred cat they are
put down for it!

just because I paid for my Ragdolls does not make me a bad person!
Bebe our moggie is loved dearly by us, we have her fully insured as we do
the Ragdolls, they are all treated the same! We love all our cats

rec.pets.cats.breeds is a brilliant idea...

If it keeps the pretentious BS, and promotion of breeding despite the
fact that there are cats dying every day for lack of homes, out of the
other cat groups I'm all for it.

I am a cat lover be it purebreds or
moggies and I hate up setting the people
who will only get a cat from a shelter, they
can't see the attraction of pure breeds
which I respect, used to think that way
myself, there are too many un wanted
cats out there. On the other hand why
should I feel guilty for buying 2 Ragdolls, I
love them just as much as my little
moggie.

Why should you feel guilty? Perhaps because you chose to discard ethics
and instead make a choice based on your own selfish desires. Whether you
love your cats isn't the point.

"Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one
elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and
splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then
providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision,
raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and
material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his
way."
