Neutered male hair loss
I have read other posts in to fur loss on the back legs, but the
posts mainly pertained to female cats. We have a male longhair that is licking and has hair loss on the insides of his back legs. Nowhere else, just on the insides of his back legs! He is a totally indoor kitty and here lately he has had more fur balls hacked up than ever in his life. Then I noted the hair loss. He doesn't have fleas and he's eating the same chow as usual. Does anyone have a clue as to what's happening here? |

Does anyone have a clue as to what's happening here? It can be a stress response or allergies. He should have a check up to see if he is stressing over an illness. He *may* have developed an allergy to something in the food. That is often the case. |

The discomfort will sometimes make them start pulling out hair anywhere on the upper hind legs or lower back. LeMieux pulled out a bald patch on the front of his thigh when his glands were impacted. -- jamie ) "There's a seeker born every minute." |
