Default The Different Halloween

This Halloween will be different, because when the bell rings, Dante will
run away and hide, and Stinky isn't here to greet the trick-or-treaters.
Stinky always went to the door when the bell rang. On Halloween, when the
bell rang more than once, after a couple of times, he would just take up a
station by the door, so he wouldn't have to run out from wherever he was,
and so he wouldn't miss anyone! He greeted all the kids. Just the kind of
cat he was.

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of
masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch. - Leo Dworken

Awww, I'm so sorry about Stinky.

No Trick or Treaters around here. Persia would have hidden anyway the
minute the doorbell rang. Hugs to you.

He was such a great social ambassador. Did any of the kids ask where he
was?

It will be hard to go through all the different times of the year that
you shared with him, and where you have memories of being with him. The
first year without him is the worst, then it gets a little better.

I also wonder if Dante behaved any differently this year. I've had a lot
of multi-cat households, and have noticed that cats seem to get into
different roles. Then when one is gone, this shifts the roles and
behaviors, and suddenly another cat is filling the RB cat's shoes (so
to speak). Or *something* changes. Just curious.

Purrs,

Woodgie was a maniac all day, figuring she could make a break for it.
We yelled at her a lot - or I did - and scared some of the littler
kids who heard me yelling at Woodge to "stay away frohm that door!".
She go so tired she lay on my chaitr and I managed to get her
"costume" on her - a bird head hat. As my DH said, "Sometimes you get
the bird, sometimes the bird gets you."
