Default New Fish in the Tank

Archer is totally fascinated with the fish in our 50 gallon aquarium (we put
the new cat tree next to it, in front of the window, so they can watch kitty
TV all day while Ben and I are at work). He'll sit on the floor in front of
it and jump up at the front glass trying to catch one of those
delicious-looking morsels - he never "gets" that he's not going to get
through that glass (Archer is not the sharpest tool in the shed). Sometimes
he'll jump to the top of the tank from the cat tree to watch the fish
swimming beneath his paws (the top is clear acrylic). He loves it when Ben
feeds the fish because then they become very active and are even more
interesting.

The other night Ben had the top of the aquarium open and was sprinkling fish
food on the top of the water. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a little
orange streak dash across the great room, shoot up the side of the cat tree,
and come flying through the air to land on (he thought) the clear aquarium
top. SPLASH! Ben said he saw a little face looking out the front of the
aquarium from about half-way to the bottom (looking quite appalled), and
then out the other side of the tank there shot a *WET* orange streak which
proceeded to run across the great room floor stopping every few steps to
shake water off one of his paws.

Ben had to sit down on the great room floor, he was laughing so hard. In
fact he laughed so hard he put his back out! Archer, in the meantime, sat
in the corner of the great room glaring at Ben (he just knew it was somehow
Ben's fault that this had happened to him), and he and Ozzy spent the next
two hours licking him dry (Ozzy is very protective and attentive to his
bro-fur and is always looking out for him and cleaning him)!

Oh wow! There's a picture! I feel sorry for Archer, but I got a good
laugh out of it.

Thank you!

Hahahaha!!! Great moments never to be shot on video. I can just see
Archer's expression! I'll bet that's one leap he'll never make again.
(Well, maybe he will, if what you say about his intelligence is true.)

Well, and he was *laughing* at him...

Hope the fish are all OK after that! (And Ben!)
