I really hope it was an accident! Problem is, she stopped and left the dog at the side of the road. Did not even seem to think of taking it to a vet, which if accidental, surely she would have and not abandonned him And it is possible she was tryign to get back at the husband for something. It's so sad some people view animals as things (such as ways to get back at people as if the animal did anything). Aliec -- The root cause of problems is simple overpopulation. http://www.theindychannel.com/news/2...107022003&ts=H Woman Arrested In Dog Dragging Case Husband Thought Dog Ran Away UPDATED: 10:32 a.m. EDT July 2, 2003 Fairfax County Police Animal Control Officers arrested 48-year-old Jeong Oh, of Sterling, Va., and charged her with animal cruelty and animal abandonment. The arrest follows an investigation after a dog was reportedly tied to a car and dragged behind it Saturday morning in Great Falls, Va. A passerby reported seeing a woman drag a dog by its leash, which was attached to a car, for over 500 feet. Police say the woman then stopped the car, got out, unhooked the dog, and left it by the side of the road. She was probably trying to get the dog ready for dinner and figured what she did would be easier that trying to knock it out and butcher it. Bet she decided her way ruined some of the "good eatin" parts and she just headed down the road to the nearest Korean restaurant. |
