Default Appointment with my primary care doc

3:45 PM Central USA time. Screw the emergency room. They never even drew a
vial of blood.

I'm glad you're going to see a real doctor. That emergency room doesn't
seem to have any.

Lots of purr on the way for things to go smoothly. I still have
trouble believing your ER experience - not that I doubt you, but it
seems so contray to the usual "insurance first before any treatment" I
usually hear about.

OK, I'm late as usualy, and the appointment is over with by now. I've
decided I was missing to much scrolling down, so now I'm sticking to
reading messages in order even if they're a couple days old.

My experience has been that, with potentially-cardiac problems, the ER
staff get you hooked up to the EKG first, ask about symptoms, and
then, once they are fairly sure that you aren't about to drop dead on
the spot, have someone come in with a clipboard to fill out the
paperwork. If you have a non-life-threatening condition, such as a
broken bone, they are more likely to do the paperwork as the first
step.
